Happy Monday, everybody! I'm so excited because it's a short-ish week for me - I'm taking Wednesday off work to hit up Six Flags with my boyfriend! Haha, I haven't been since high school, so I'm looking forward to riding some coasters and eating a giant turkey leg!
Last week was a whirlwind - I had my annual conference for work down at the lake Wednesday-Friday, and spent Friday night at my friend Chrissy's parent's house for her hometown's homecoming fair. Saturday my boyfriend and I made dinner and then headed to Bailey's Chocolate Bar for some insane dessert. So much fun!
The coolest thing, though, was while down at the lake and out to dinner with my bosses and a coworker, we saw former NBA player Shawn Bradley. He didn't play for too long, but was famous for being freaking huge - he's SEVEN FEET SIX INCHES tall! Seriously a giant - standing next to him the top of my head was at his waist. If you don't follow basketball (uh, me neither), you might now him as that really tall white basketball player in the movie Space Jam:
Only he doesn't look as dorky anymore - just really, really tall. He was really nice, too - apparently he is partner in a string of houses for troubled kids (he's got one in Salt Lake City (where he lives), one at the lake here in Missouri, and a few other places)
