Hey guys! I just got my brand new computer (exciting!) and with that comes the ability to vlog! I did my first vlog yesterday - it's been floating around the Internet for a while and is called the Dialect Vlog. The idea is that you say a list of words and answer the questions so that you can hear the accents (or lack of accents) of other bloggers. If any of you have access to a web cam or video camera, I highly recommend doing this vlog, and letting me know because I love watching vlogs.
The list of words if you want to do it (or have no clue what I'm saying) are Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught
What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped
body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry
groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you change the TV channel with?
Oh, and I didn't mention it in the video, but I'm from a rural area about an hour north of St. Louis, Missouri - so just about as Midwestern as one could get.
And sorry the video ends rather abruptly - my brother was coming home from work and I was embarrassed to be talking to a camera.
Does anyone have any requests for future vlogs? Tutorials, reviews, anything like that? This was fun to make so I'd like to keep doing them!
