You guys, I was such a rock star this weekend - I dropped about $2000 in less than 24 hours. Don't worry, I didn't buy a whole new wardrobe or anything like that - just a new computer and new brakes for my car. There is nothing more depressing than having to spend money on a car, am I right?
On the upside, I filled my car up with gas Friday afternoon when gas was still $2.80 a gallon, and now it's much closer to $3.00 (yeah, we have cheap gas in Missouri, it's awesome), AND I won $15 on a scratcher ticket!
I can't really think of anything interesting to write about (that's why I just wrote about gas prices...thrilling stuff, let me tell you) because everyone and their dog is in a tizzy in St. Louis over "THE STORM OF THE CENTURY" that is hitting. Sorry, but I'm born and raised in the Show Me State, so I'm gonna have to see this storm before I get worried about it. Basically they are predicting about an inch of ice today, topped off by a foot or two of snow overnight/into tomorrow - Ameren UE has already called in crews from other areas to handle the "immanent destruction", the National Guard is here, the Red Cross is setting up storm shelters, one of the local news stations has had non-stop storm coverage since 4am - it is absolutely bananas
BUT because of all this hubbub, I got to leave work at 11 today and probably won't have to go to work tomorrow, so I'm writing this post cuddled up on the coach with my dog - which is awesome. The only downside? I had a darn cute outfit on today...what a waste.
